A Study on UX of AI Services in Audio Book Platforms: Focused on Millie and Welaaa

The purpose of this study is to analyze user experiences with AI services on two major domestic audiobook platforms in Korea: Millie's Library and Welaaa. With the advent of the digital era, the incorporation of AI technology into audiobook platforms has provided a novel reading experience that differs from that of traditional reading media.Utilizing Stephen P. Anderson's Creating Pleasurable Interfaces Model, user experiences were evaluated. The results indicate that both platforms showed relatively high levels of satisfaction in terms of functionality, reliability, usefulness, and convenience. However, they demonstrated comparatively lower satisfaction in terms of playfulness and meaningfulness.Notably, although the AI services were generally positively evaluated in terms of playfulness, it was found that these services have not yet had a direct impact on users' decisions to extend their subscriptions to the platforms. In conclusion, the findings suggest that the success of AI services in audiobook platforms must go beyond
