The influence of physical exercises on the productivity of learning of students of it specialties

The article is devoted to the study of the impact of physical exercises on the learning performance of IT students. Activities in the field of IT are accompanied by high cognitive load, sedentary lifestyle and increased stress levels, which negatively affect students' learning activities. The purpose of the study was to determine the effectiveness of an integrated approach to the use of physical exercises to improve student learning performance. The study involved students (n=82) of 1-2 years of study, divided into control (n=40) and experimental (n=42) groups. Students of the experimental group additionally performed physical exercises during the week. The pedagogical experiment, questionnaires, physical fitness testing, psychological tests (Stroop Test, Digit Span Test), analysis of academic performance and methods of mathematical statistics were used. It was found that additional physical activity helps to increase concentration, improve cognitive functions and reduce stress, which has a positive effect on the academic performance of IT students. It is confirmed that the integrated use of physical exercises has a positive impact on the learning performance of IT students, which opens up new opportunities for further improvement of teaching strategies and methods.
