Improving the psychological health of students through motor activity in non-core higher education institutions

The article analyzes the impact of physical activity on the psychological health of students in non-core higher education institutions. To obtain quantitative data and analyze the impact of physical activity on the psycho-emotional state of students, we used the following research methods: meta-analysis, the Fremdham study method, methods for determining psycho-emotional health, questionnaires, and methods of mathematical statistics. The research involved 90 female students aged 17-18 years old, first year students belonging to the main group, studying full-time and engaged in physical education once a week according to the work program. At the end of the study, the survey data were processed and converted into percentages, and the average statistical indicators for all the characteristics studied on days when respondents had physical education classes and on days when they had only theoretical classes were determined. After analyzing different levels of physical activity and psychological health of students, we determined the dependence of indicators on each other at a high level. On days when students were engaged in physical education classes, the daily physical activity time was 6% longer than on days when students did not have physical education classes. Also, psychological health indicators were 4% better on days when students were engaged in sports than on other days. Judging by the data obtained, we can conclude that the psychological state of the subjects is better on days when they are more engaged in physical activity than on other days.
