Smartball training: an innovative program for football players

This article examines the implementation of innovative technologies in football training systems, particularly the use of smart balls in improving the technical and physical skills of athletes. The integration of digital technologies in sports offers new opportunities for a personalized training approach, based on the analysis of real-time objective data. The aim of the study is to assess the effectiveness of using smart balls to optimize the training process, evaluate their impact on the physical and functional preparedness of football players, and analyze changes in key performance parameters following the application of an experimental training program. To achieve this goal, an experimental study was conducted involving 24 football players. The research results demonstrated significant positive changes in the physical performance of the experimental group, including: an 8.5% increase in the Cooper test distance, confirming improvements in aerobic endurance; an 5.2% improvement in the 30-meter sprint, indicating the development of explosive speed; an 8.7% increase in the standing long jump, reflecting enhanced lower-limb explosive power; an 10.3% improvement in the Yo-Yo test, confirming the players' improved recovery ability after intensive loads;. an 12.5% increase in balance test results, demonstrating enhanced sensorimotor coordination; an 9.1% increase in grip strength, likely resulting from higher loads on the upper limb muscles during ball control; an 11.4% improvement in the beep test results, supporting the effectiveness of the training methodology. The findings highlight the viability of integrating smart technologies into football, particularly for the development of youth, professional, and amateur teams. Conclusions. The proposed training methodology using smart balls significantly enhances the physical fitness of football players, improves their technical skills, and adapts them to game situations more effectively. Digital technologies provide a personalized approach to training, allowing for the analysis of individual athlete characteristics and real-time adjustments to the training process. Thus, the use of smart balls can serve as an effective tool for improving training methodologies, enhancing game performance, and optimizing the training process at various levels of player development.
