Massage and modern recovery techniques in the training process of high-class deaflympian orienteers
For the first time, the problem of using massage and modern recovery techniques after exercise by Deaflympian athletes in orienteering has been investigated in this article. Data on the use of recovery tools in the training and training process of leading Ukrainian orienteers with hearing impairments has been systematized. The results obtained are presented in graphs that demonstrate the features and preferences of highly qualified orienteers when choosing recovery tools. The authors note that Deaflympian orienteers prefer massage and sauna among rehabilitation measures: manual massage (84.2%), sauna, bath, hammam (78.9%), shower (68.4%), stretching (57.9%), pharmacological agents (52.6%) and apparatus massage (31.6%). Despite a fairly wide range of rehabilitation measures, a significant part of athletes (42.1%) is not sure that they use a sufficient number of rehabilitation procedures, 15.9% of respondents believe that they pay insufficient attention to recovery after exertion. It was found that 47.4% of athletes would like to use various types of apparatus massage more actively (pressotherapy, percussion massagers, etc.). 42.1% of athletes would like to pay more attention to physiotherapeutic procedures (electrophoresis, magneto therapy, ultrasound and laser). In addition, 36.8% of respondents consider it necessary to add electronic devices and VR and AR technologies for relaxation and meditation to the program of rehabilitation activities. This research serves as a foundation for the development of comprehensive recovery programs after exertion in the training process of high-class orienteers with hearing impairments.
