Programming Features of Domestic Entertainment TV Channels in Conditions of Internet Development (on the Example of STS, TNT and Friday)
This article deals with the tendency to revise the programming technologies of domestic entertainment TV channels in the conditions of competitive media environment and Internet development. Due to the large number of online entertainment projects, the management of TV channels is less oriented to the rhythm of the audience's life. This article presents the results of the research. It was an attempt to study the technologies of television product distribution on air, which were used by domestic entertainment TV channels in the conditions of development of the domestic segment of the Internet, including the emergence of new entertainment Internet projects in various social networks and video hosting. As part of the analysis, the genre and thematic characteristics of the broadcast day on STS, TNT and Friday channel were considered, programming tactics on domestic entertainment TV channels were determined and the content of the airtime depending on the time of day was studied. As a result of the change in the broadcasting strategy, none of the presented TV channels built their airtime focusing solely on programming techniques. The niche channels are characterized by a gradual abandonment of this approach, unlike universal channels, where the genre and format diversity are richer and includes television products for different gender and age groups. When filling in the broadcast grid, entertainment TV channels mostly do not focus on programming techniques. However, STS, TNT and Friday completely abandoned the technologies of linear programming.
