ESG Management Focus on Lower FPSO Carbon Footprint

Abstract This paper outlines the comprehensive Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) management strategy for climate change mitigation and the reduction of carbon footprints at the FPSO Atlanta. Located in the Santos Basin, approximately 185 kilometers offshore from Niteroi, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, the Atlanta field is part of the BS-4 block, situated in waters 1,550 meters deep. The development of this field has been divided into two distinct phases: the Early Production System (EPS) and the Full Field Development (FFD). The FPSO Atlanta operates at the later, which initiated on December, 2024. Mitigating climate change and adapting to its impacts are central and timely themes in the oil and gas industry. These energy sources are crucial for ensuring stable energy supplies and promoting global economic growth.
