Technological Initiative for Integrity and Reliability – Present and Future of Asset Integrity Management

Abstract This paper presents a cross-functional initiative in our company, the Reliability & Integrity Technological Initiative, which establishes a strategic direction for Research, Development, and Innovation (RD&I) projects. The focus is on leveraging advanced technologies, such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Digital Twins, robotics, and unconventional materials/coatings to optimize asset integrity management. The initiative aims to minimize unplanned downtimes, prioritize inspection and maintenance costs, reduce man-hours needed for integrity management, and lower greenhouse gas emissions. Through the identification of technological gaps and implementation of cutting-edge solutions, this paper explores recent advancements and outlines a roadmap for future technologies, aiming to enhance operational efficiency and sustainability across topside, hull, subsea, and well assets.
