In the State of Rondônia, where the management of public resources plays a crucial role in socio-economic development, this bidding modality aims to reduce costs, increase competitiveness, and minimize fraud risks. Thus, the general objective of this study was to analyze how electronic bidding contributes to increasing transparency and efficiency in public administration in the State of Rondônia. The central problem investigated was: What are the main challenges and limitations faced in implementing this instrument within state public administration to improve transparency and efficiency in public procurement processes? The methodology adopted was based on documentary research and literature review, analyzing regulations and data related to bids conducted in the state. Reports and studies on the implementation of electronic bidding were examined to identify its impact on public management. The results showed that the use of electronic bidding in Rondônia led to greater savings for public funds, increased competition among suppliers, and reduced external interference in bidding processes. Furthermore, it was found that the transparency provided by the digital platform strengthened society’s trust in public contracts, contributing to more efficient governance. However, challenges such as staff training and digital inclusion of suppliers still need to be overcome to maximize the benefits of this modality.
