The Role of Classroom Assessment in Enhancing Effective Learning: A Critical Analysis
Classroom assessment plays an important part in influencing students’ learning experiences and outcomes. It supports teachers in monitoring students' academic progress, recognizing improving areas where students need more instruction, and improving their approaches to improve performance. Teachers can adapt their teaching methods to make better learning results while ensuring that students can develop problem-solving and critical thinking skills through effective evaluation. This study observes the role of classroom assessment in improving learning effectiveness at the secondary level in Tehsil Khanpur. It investigates the effects of several assessment methods on student participation, with classroom and summative assessments. It also draws attention to the problems faced by educators, including inadequate training, insufficient availability of diverse evaluation techniques, and a deficiency of effective feedback systems. The consequences show that although assessments are commonly used, they often highlight traditional tests over pragmatic and continuous assessment methods. Professional development is essential for teachers to use advanced assessment techniques that can improve student learning. The research focuses on the necessity for a well-balanced approach that participates in a variety of assessment strategies, ensuring a more real and engaging learning process. By enhancing assessment practices and providing necessary training to teachers, schools can adopt a more supportive, creative, and productive educational environment, eventually improving student outcomes.
