Representasi Ketidaksetaraan Gender dalam Film Dua Hati Biru

This research aims to describe the representation of gender relations inequality in the movie Dua Hati Biru (Roland Barthes Semiotics Analysis). In this study, researchers used a qualitative descriptive method approach using the theory of semiotic theory by Roland Barthes. By using data collection techniques in the form of documentation and observation. The data validity used in this research is Data Triangulation. This research uses the movie Dua Hati Biru as a research subject related to gender relations inequality because in this movie there are various signifiers and signs that can represent gender relations inequality. The results of the researcher's observation, there are 6 scenes that can represent the inequality of gender relations in the movie Dua Hati Biru. This research shows that the film Dua Hati Biru represents gender relations inequality in the form of stereotypes, subordination, marginalization, double burden, discrimination, and patriarchal culture.
