DEVELOPMENT OF A SCALE TO DETERMINE PARENTS’ SCHOOL CHOOSING CRITERIA
This study aimed to develop and validate a scale for assessing the criteria parents use when selecting educational institutions for their children. It involved 580 volunteers, confirmed by high KMO (0.87) and Bartlett's test (χ2=2438.107; p<.001). The initial 26-item instrument was reduced to 19 items. The study identified a four-factor structure explaining 52.89% of total variance with factor loadings from 0.60 to 0.90. The validity coefficient was 0.88, supported by fit indices (RMSEA = 0.05, CFI = 0.91, GFI = 0.93). Confirmatory factor analysis results (χ2=344.78; df=143) affirmed the four-factor model's practical applicability.
