ASPECT CATEGORY IN TURKISH AND KYRGYZ LANGUAGES
This study investigates aspect in Turkish and Kyrgyz using linguistic and comparative methods. It focuses on aspect as a multifaceted phenomenon encoding temporal and aspectual distinctions for actions and states. The primary objective is to identify shared and unique features defining the verbal systems of these languages. Analyzing aspectual categories enhances comprehension of how native speakers conceptualize action dynamics. The findings highlight functional and semantic contrasts in aspectual markers and verb morphology between the two languages. By revealing typological parallels and divergences, this study advances the understanding of aspectuality in related Turkic languages and offers insights into their structural patterns.
