THE CURRENT STATE OF THE MECHANISMS OF INTERACTION BETWEEN THE BRANCHES OF GOVERNMENT IN THE KYRGYZ REPUBLIC
This study explores the interaction between executive and legislative branches in the Kyrgyz Republic, emphasizing official and unofficial connections between the President, Cabinet of Ministers, and Jogorku Kenesh. Constitutional provisions, statistical data, and expert assessments were used to investigate lawmaking, budget formation, and parliamentary control. The findings indicate a strengthening of presidential power and a weakening of the parliamentary role, supported by statistics on presidential legislative initiatives. The results indicate governance centralization in post-Soviet states, highlighted by Kyrgyzstan's 2021 constitutional reform. The study concludes that checks and balances are essential for effective political functioning and increasing citizens' trust in state institutions.
