THE USAGE OF THE EUPHEMISMS IN THE MODERN ENGLISH
This article analyzes euphemisms in modern English as a linguistic phenomenon that mitigates harsh expressions and maintains social harmony. Based on a corpus of linguistic examples, euphemism formation methods were classified, including lexico-semantic, morphological, and syntactic approaches. It examines the functioning of euphemisms in advertising, mass media, political discourse and everyday communication. The dynamic nature of euphemization is highlighted, including its adaptation to sociocultural changes and the risks of excessive use, leading to audience trust loss. This study explores the interconnection between linguistic processes and sociocultural contexts, offering a perspective on euphemisms as markers of social transformations and intercultural communication.
