Cyberspace: Our Contemporary Mission Fields

The geographical and sociological contours of society in the twenty-first century have undergone significant changes compared to the first century when Jesus first commanded the Great Commission to his disciples. Moreover, digitalization has revolutionized the world and impacted various aspects of life, including religious practices. This paper proposes the concept of digital mission as a relevant and practical approach to Christian mission in the digital age. Using qualitative research methods, it is concluded that the twenty-first-century mission strategy must be in line with the situation of the times so that the Great Commission targets are fulfilled. The approach focuses on two main aspects: making Cyberspace a new world for soul outreach and using digital technology platforms as tools to do missions in the digital age. This research contributes significantly to integrating traditional theology of mission with the realities of the digital world and offers a comprehensive framework for contemporary mission.
