Deadline-driven signaling scheduling scheme for deterministic service restoration in optical transport networks of F5G
In the fifth-generation fixed networks (F5G) era, critical applications have very high requirements for network stability and reliability, a fast and reliable fault recovery mechanism is very important. Deterministic service restoration refers to ensuring that the restoration path is established within the maximum disconnection time that the service can tolerate. After a fault occurs in optical transport networks, light path needs to be re-established to restore service transmission. Signaling transmitted in the data communication network (DCN) is used to establish ligth path, and the uncertainty of lightpath establishment mainly depends on the signaling delay. Optical service unit (OSU) technology enables a single fiber to carry thousands number of services. Hence, how to achieve deterministic service restoration when such a heavily used fiber is disconnected is a key problem. In this paper, a novel deterministic node internal structure is designed. Based on the structure, a heuristic deadline-driven signaling scheduling (DSS) algorithm is proposed to realize deterministic service restoration. Numerical results show that compared to the baseline algorithm, the proposed DSS algorithm can reduce blocking probability by 9.62%, and the average residual time is increased by 153.52 milliseconds (ms).
