Sustainable Strategies and Factors Influencing IoT Adoption Frameworks in Library Management in Educational Institutions: A Systematic Literature Review
<ns3:p>The researchers provide sustainable strategies with systematic review and analysis of literature on factors influencing Internet of Things (IoT) adoption in library management and, with a focus on educational institutions, in order to gain insights and identify challenges and trends. The challenges are security and privacy, cost of infrastructure, standards and regulatory compliance, and institutional readiness. The methodology used in the review was conducted according to the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) framework for a comprehensive and transparent process which anchored on the factors influencing IoT adoption of the university library management, published from 2020 to 2024, that based on total number of 30 IoT adoption related articles published within earlier time frame as well. Using the TCCM (theory-context-characteristics-methodology) framework, this study identifies empirical framework compositions within Technology Acceptance Models (TAM, UTAUT, DOI) to uncover the root cause driving these perceptions of perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use. As a result, the study performed a SLR by retrieving 450,474 articles from Web of Science, Scopus, and Emerald for the period 2020 –2024 with a total of 30 peer-reviewed studies identified for in-depth quality assessment following a stringent viability process. The study further describes the use of IoT towards transforming a traditional academic library into an advanced service that is relevant to current technology trends.</ns3:p>
