The TRAINING ON COCONUT SHELL WASTE PROCESSING AS AN ALTERNATIVE FUEL IN PARUNG PANJANG DISTRICT, BOGOR
Energy is a good crucial component of daily living. The supply of currently available energy cannot be renewed, and it will eventually run out. Loss of energy sources is not impossible for mankind if this situation persists. In order to use waste responsibly and preserve the environment, a new, renewable energy source that can be derived from waste must exist. The calorific value of coconut shells is thought to be higher than that of other types of biomass. The goal of the community service, which involved the moms of residents around the Beverly Lake Parung Panjang housing complex in Bogor, was to teach the locals how toproducebriquettesoutofcoconutshelltrashquicklyandeasily. Thefindingscanbe applied as a substitute for oil and gas as well as a means of generating income for training participants. The material will be introduced, and students will practice processing the leftover coconut shells into briquettes in a straightforward manner. Through this training exercise, it is hoped that the locals would be able to turn leftover coconut shell into briquettes that may be used as an economical replacement for oil and gas.
