Thermal characteristics analysis of a gas combustion unit
The thermal characteristics of GCU were analyzed using numerical simulation methods. The results indicate that due to the radiation heat overflow caused by the BOG combustion flame being higher than the inner wall surface, there are local annular high-temperature areas on the outer and middle walls of the GCU, with the highest temperature on the middle wall exceeding 1000K. Furthermore, the roles of dilution air and furnace air were studied. It was found that when the air volume changes, the decrease in the maximum temperature of the outlet flue gas by the furnace air is 6.2 times higher than that of the dilution air, and the decrease in the maximum temperature of the outer wall is 10 times higher than that of the dilution air, indicating that the cooling effect of the furnace air is better. In addition, increasing the furnace air volume is beneficial for reducing the emissions of thermal nitrogen oxides and methane while ensuring stable combustion.
