Numerical simulation study on the influence of current parameters on droplet transfer in pulsed MIG welding
The numerical simulation method for studying the welding droplet transfer behavior is an important means of improving the stability of the welding process and the performance of the weld. This paper first establishes a mathematical model of the dynamic behavior of droplets in pulsed MIG welding based on the principles of fluid dynamics. Secondly, it simulates the transition process of droplets in pulsed MIG welding under different welding current parameters and studies the influence of these parameters on droplet transfer behavior to obtain welding current process parameters that can stably maintain one pulse per droplet. Finally, pulsed MIG welding experiments are conducted according to the process parameters obtained from numerical simulations, achieving stable control of one pulse per droplet. The research results show that numerical simulation of droplet transfer in pulsed MIG welding is an effective method to achieve stable welding processes.
