The Effect of Question or Dare Media Assisted by the Think-Pair-Share Model on Student Critical Thinking Skills

This study aims to determine whether the application of question or dare media assisted by the think-pair-share model affects the critical thinking skills of fifth-grade elementary school students in the Kedawung sub-district. This research uses a quantitative approach with an experimental non-equivalent control group design method. This research is intended to fulfill the purpose of the problem formulation, namely, whether there is an influence and effectiveness of the question or dare media assisted by the think-pair-share model on the critical thinking skills of fifth-grade elementary school students in the Kedawung sub-district. The increase in ability was shown based on the three experimental classes. The samples in this study were 35 fifth-grade students of SDN 1 Kedungdawa, 32 students of class VA, and 33 students of class VB SDN Kalikoa in the 2023/2024 school year. Tests, questionnaires, and documentation were carried out during data collection. Analysis of research data using t-test and N-Gain. The results of this study are based on the t-hypothesis test known as the sig value of 0.000 <0.05, which means there is an increase in students' critical thinking skills, and the n-gain test results in class A are 58.77 with a moderate category, experimental class B 18.16 with a low category, and experimental class C 52.75 with a moderate category. The results of the t-test indicate a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. This means that question-or-dare media, assisted by the think-pair-share model, affects critical thinking skills. Keywords: Critical thinking skill; Question or dare media; Think-pair-share
