Power Management in Photovoltaic Based Microgrid Under Varying Load and Generations
The incorporation of Renewable Energy sources (RES) into power system is becoming more widespread due to the global trend towards sustainable energy. The potential for RES to minimize carbon emissions and improve energy sustainability is enormous. As RES is intermittent, it becomes challenging to maintain the system stable and reliable. This paper aims for effective power management in a renewable rich microgrid using photovoltaic (PV) system as dispatchable source to satisfy load demand under various operating conditions to maintain system stability. A three-bus low-voltage microgrid system is used in this work as a test system in the MATLAB/Simulink platform to provide efficient power management and an experimental setup for PV system as a dispatchable energy source has been Implemented.
