Application of Pentuple Asymmetrical Microring Resonator as an Optical Filter
In this conference paper, the Modeling of a pentuple asymmetrical optical microring resonator (PAOMRR) and its application as an optical filter is based on the Vernier principle. The calculation of the transfer function is done in the Z-domain using Mason's gain formula. Transmittance, normalized group delay, and normalized dispersion of filter are obtained using MATLAB. The proposed model offers an FSR (THz) of 11200, 17300, and 14700. The Q-factors at the respective ports are 1120, 1730, and 1470 respectively. It offers minimal Cross-talk within the 5% band.
