Numerical simulation of carbon fiber composite catapult base
Establish a model of catapult-base made of carbon fiber reinforced composite material, utilize the composite material analysis module in Abaqus to study its structure, and propose design improvements. This paper analyzes the stress distribution of the carbon fiber pressure-bearing structure under a pressure of 1MPa in low-pressure chamber and conducts a geometric optimization analysis of the carbon fiber composite pressure-bearing structure. The results indicate that under a static pressure of 1MPa, the maximum stress in the composite base occurs at the junction line of the flat transition arc surface (Annular Connection).Among the layers, the layers bonded to Metal structural component and in contact with the gas of the low-pressure chamber experience higher stress, while the intermediate layers exhibit lower stress. After geometric structure optimization, when the loading direction of the carbon fiber at the flat transition arc surface aligns with the principal stress direction of the fibers, the maximum layer stress decreases from 1895MPa to 637MPa, a reduction of 66.4%, and the safety factor increases from 1.62 to 4.81.
