Streamlining Production Efficiency in F Cluster: Leveraging Practical Problem Solving (PPS) for Deferment Management and Well Recovery
Abstract This study explores a structured approach to identifying and addressing hidden deferment in oilfield operations, focusing on the F Cluster as a case study. Using Practical Problem-Solving (PPS) methodologies, critical challenges in recovery estimation, deferment tracking, and operational inefficiencies were resolved through tailored interventions, automation, and process standardization. Key achievements include a significant increase in oil reconciliation factor (RF) from 89% to 94%, enhanced daily NFA allocation by 1.5%, and an annual Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) saving of 0.78 (1,370 hours). The results highlight the scalability of these measures across oilfield clusters, emphasizing the transformative role of operational standardization and automation in maximizing production efficiency.
