Hybrid transcatheter aortic valve replacement for mechanical valve dysfunction in a patient with Marfan syndrome and previous Bentall procedure: A novel approach
A 53-year-old woman with Marfan syndrome (body mass index 28.81 kg/m2) presented to our center with progressive exertional dyspnea and fatigue over the previous 3 months. She had undergone a Bentall procedure 28 years ago at an outside institution for a ruptured ascending aortic aneurysm, which included implantation of a 19-mm St Jude bileaflet mechanical valve with a graft conduit and coronary reimplantation.
