Dukungan Sosial dengan Resiliensi Pada Ibu Yang Memiliki Anak Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) di SLB Sekecamatan Kadia
Resilience is defined as an individual's ability to rise above the pressures and challenges of life, while social support includes emotional, instrumental, informational, and social network assistance. The study used a correlational design with a quantitative approach, involving 52 mothers selected through purposive sampling technique. Data were collected using validated resilience and social support scales. The results of the analysis showed a significant positive relationship between social support and resilience (r = 0.394; p < 0.05), with a low level of correlation. The majority of mothers had moderate levels of resilience and social support. Emotional support proved to be the dominant aspect in building resilience, while impulse control was the aspect of resilience with the lowest percentage. This study emphasizes the importance of social support in improving mothers' resilience, which in turn helps them face the challenges of parenting a child with ASD. This study is expected to be a reference for communities, educational institutions, and researchers to develop support programs for mothers with children with special needs.
