Improving the gain of a notched-type printed dipole indoors antenna using SSFG technique for DTV systems

• The proposed design features a relatively simple structure that is easy to construct and applicable compared to other types of antennas. It can be conveniently installed by designing a non-symmetric notch-type dipole antenna, separated using the SSFG method, for indoor reception of digital television signals. • Reflection loss coefficient of -23 dB. Based on using the authorized electromagnetic simulation software. • The measurement results showed frequency responses from 463.26 MHz to 875.62 MHz, or 61.6%, with an S11 value less than -10 dB. • Radiation efficiency remains above 60% across the entire frequency band. The gain at frequencies of 514 MHz, 650 MHz, and 786 MHz was 3.22 dB, 3.88 dB, and 4.35 dB, respectively. This research aims to study and develop the design of a dipole antenna on a printed circuit board for indoor reception of digital television signals. The proposed design features a relatively simple structure that is easy to construct and applicable compared to other types of antennas. It can be conveniently installed by designing a non-symmetric notch-type dipole antenna, with the dimensions of the antenna being 200 mm in length and 45 mm in width, separated using the SSFG method. The dimensions of the left and right arms of the antenna are adjusted, along with the width of the air gap and the length of the feeder to the antenna, to achieve an operational frequency range between 470 and 862 MHz. The measurement indicates a reflection loss coefficient of -23 dB. Based on using the authorized electromagnetic simulation software CST (Computer Simulation Technology), the researcher designed and analyzed the proposed structure. The simulation results indicated that the antenna exhibited improved matching characteristics. The measurement results showed frequency responses from 463.26 MHz to 875.62 MHz, or 61.6 %, with an S 11 value less than -10 dB. Abstract
