Peranan Adversity Quotient Terhadap Stres Pada Narapidana Lapas II B Amuntai

Every prisoner generally has the potential to experience stress, especially in a new place and environment, but each person has self-control to overcome it. However, there are different ways of looking at dealing with problems. Some persons are successful and some are trapped in the problems so that they use various methods from those acceptable by logic to those unacceptable by logic, causing them to be sent to a prison. The study sample was 200 participants selected using the purposive sampling technique. Data were collected using the Adversity Response Profile (ARP) scale and Depression Anxiety Stress Scales (DASS). The method used in the study was a quantitative method with the simple linear regression analysis. The results of the study show that there is a role of adversity quotient in stress among prisoners at the Class II B Amuntai Correctional Institution; the higher the adversity quotient, the lower the stress among the prisoners. Keywords: adversity quotient, correctional institution, prisoners, stress
