Research on the identification model of excessive crosswind during flight landing on wet and slippery runways
Crosswind is a major factor leading to aircraft deviating from the runway, especially on wet and slippery runways. Considering the difficulties in real-time monitoring of crosswind and the relatively high false alarm rate during flight landing, this paper proposes a real-time monitoring and early warning model for excessive crosswind during flight landing, based on information such as runway condition codes, flight dynamics, and surface meteorological observations, combined with the crosswind standards for various aircraft types during landing. Experimental results showed that this model could effectively identify the operational risks of crosswind during flight landing, and improved safety margins. At the same time, it is more suitable for engineering application needs and has high practical value.
