Design of a strawberry stereoscopic cultivation device
In elevated cultivation of strawberries, there are still conflicts between water and fertilizer supply and root gas circulation, light and space utilization. Also, strawberry stems are easily broken if substrate tanks are utilized, while the gauze net will require more space. To address these problems, a strawberry stereoscopic cultivation device was proposed. It can be set to the horizontal mode, the vertical mode, and the inclined mode as per the user’s needs, with the horizontal and inclined modes allowing sufficient light for strawberries during the growth process, and the vertical mode facilitating the management and picking of strawberries. It functions in water recycling, in such a manner that excess irrigation water can flow from the cultivation tank back to the water tank. In the process, the return irrigation water has been filtered multiple times to prevent the clogging of the drip head. In addition, the upper part of the cultivation tank was provided with a round border to prevent strawberry stems from being fractured during their growth. Obviously, this device has been rationally designed, with a low manufacturing cost and easy to operate. It will have a wide application prospect in stereoscopic cultivation of strawberries.
