Experimental and prediction model research on creep performance of alkali activated concrete

Alkali activated concrete (AAC) is a new type of green building material with outstanding environmental value, good mechanical and durability properties, and promising application prospects in engineering construction. To study the creep performance of AAC and establish a prediction model for its creep development, creep experiments were conducted on AAC with different strength grades and curing ages. The influence of strength and curing age on its creep characteristics was analyzed and compared with existing concrete creep calculation models. The results indicate that the creep development trend of AAC is consistent with that of ordinary silicate concrete, showing a characteristic of rapid development in the early stage and gradually stabilizing. As the strength grade increases and the curing age increases, the creep of AAC gradually decreases. Based on the experimental results, the creep calculation model in JTG 3362-2018 was modified to establish an AAC creep development model, which can accurately predict the long-term creep development of AAC.
