Seismic response analysis of ship lift tower structure considering the influence of the mass of the top plant room and the equipment

This article uses numerical simulation method to study the seismic response of ship lift tower structures. Firstly, the dynamic characteristics of the tower were analyzed, and then the displacement and stress dynamic response of the tower under seismic load were analyzed using the mode superposition response spectrum method and the dynamic time history method, respectively. Results indicate that the presence of the top plant room and equipment mass will reduce the vibration frequency of the tower structure and increase the dynamic response of displacement and stress. The results obtained from the response spectrum method and dynamic time history methods using three different sets of seismic waves are basically consistent. The transverse connecting beam at the top of the ship lift tower has a high stress, which is the weak seismic area of the structure. The results of numerical simulation can provide important references for engineering design.
