Research on the design of an Internet of Things intelligent irrigation system based on NB-IOT wireless communication

As the foundation for sustaining life, the importance of water resources is self-evident. In the 21st century, the problem of water shortage on a global scale has not been effectively solved yet. In response to this challenge, we have designed an innovative intelligent irrigation system. With the help of NarrowBand Internet of Things (NB-IoT) wireless communication technology, this system enables remote monitoring and management of agricultural irrigation. Through multiple deployed sensing nodes, key environmental parameters such as humidity, temperature and light intensity in the soil are transmitted to the cloud platform. By utilizing these data and combining with appropriate data analysis techniques, the system can intelligently adjust the irrigation strategy. Experimental data has proved that this system provides a sustainable development approach in the agricultural field, which not only significantly improves the irrigation efficiency but also effectively reduces the waste of water resources.
