Study of heat and moisture transfer processes in ventilation corridors of underground plants
For the ventilation corridors connecting underground plants and the outside atmosphere environment, the variation of corridor inner air parameters is an important factor for designing HVAC system of underground plants. This paper focuses on the boundary characteristics of ventilation corridors in an underground pumped storage power station. Utilizing the principles of heat and mass exchange, a mathematical model for the temperature and humidity distribution along unlined ventilation corridors has been established. Taking the ventilation passageway of a pumped storage power station in Shandong as the research object, the on-site air parameters measurement results under summer condition were compared with the theoretical calculations of the model. Results showed that the relative error between the two methods was within 10%. It can be deduced that the calculated results of the theoretical model can provide theoretical support for energy-saving in the HVAC systems of practical engineering.
