Research on working characteristics of the oil discharge valve in the clutch
Oil discharge ball-valve was taken as the research object, and theoretical mechanics analysis methods were adopted, combined with relevant theories of fluid mechanics, to analyze the forces on the steel ball. A mathematical model was established, and the influence of position, centrifugal force, gravity, support force, fluid force acting on the steel ball, geometric relationship, and oil-cylinder parameters on the critical pressures were studied, so as to ensure the theoretical accuracy of the model. The theoretical formulas for critical pressures were derived. Design methods based on the characteristics of the gearbox clutch were provided, and the calculation was verified by experiments. The research can provide a reference for the design of oil discharge valves.
