Low vitamin D levels and alopecia: a cross-sectional study of the All of Us research programme
This population-based study assessed the relationship between low vitamin D levels and alopecia subtypes in over 52 000 patients from the US National Institutes of Health All of Us database. Results indicated no significant difference in vitamin D levels between scarring and nonscarring alopecia, although younger age, being Black or Asian and male sex were associated with lower vitamin D levels.
