Assessment of natural and artificial radioactivity in beach and sediment samples from Salda Lake with radiological risk evaluation
Abstract This research investigates the artificial and natural radioactivity levels in sediment and sand samples collected from Lake Salda. Radioactivity measurements were conducted using a High-Purity Germanium detector, followed by the calculation of radiological risk parameters. The mean radiation activity concentrations for 226 Ra, 232 Th, 40 K, and 137 Cs were determined to be 2.68, 3.19, 270.80, and 3.41 Bq/kg, respectively.
