Artenschutz am Ostbayernring – Evaluierung von vorgezogenen Ausgleichsmaßnahmen
Species protection at the Ostbayernring – evaluation of continuous ecological functionality measures // As part of the species protection assessment, comprehensive nature conservation measures were carried out along the Eastern Bavarian Ring to compensate for bat habitats affected by the project. The aim is to quickly provide and permanently secure habitats for wood species such as bats and birds. By installing 2,783 nest boxes and securing 2,580 habitat trees and 10.5 hectares of natural forest development area, extensive replacement habitats were created for the project. A lessons learned workshop took place in January 2024 to allow everyone involved to critically reflect on and evaluate the implementation of the measures.
