E-MONITORING MODEL DESIGN FOR JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS TO STRENGTHEN THE PANCASILA CHARRACTERS
The E-monitoring model design for junior high school students aims to form a strong Pancasila profile character. The application is built on the android platform and runs online on the activities of junior high school students at school and at home. Solving the problem of deviant behavior by students is addressed by the student interest and talent counseling system. Instructional monitoring, counseling, and treatments for violations and deviations are packaged in phases by adopting the Problem and Project Based Learning (PPjBL) model. This application provides a threatment clinic feature as a forum for educating student character. The talent interest test feature is one of the treatments for student cases. The test results become a recommendation for implementing portfolio projects as a form of positive punishment to students. The PPjBL model syntax and output in the form of portfolios are a form of novelty in the field of counseling and student character education. This qualitative descriptive research uses the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) approach method in system design. The design tool uses the Unified Modeling Language (UML). Research data were obtained from a review of relevant literature, interviews, and online publication data from official institutions. The result of the design is an android-based e-monitoring application that is efficient in monitoring behavior, learning activities, and improving the pedagogy of school teachers
