Event-Driven Lighting for Immersive Attention Guidance

In immersive VR environments, users often miss events occurring outside their field of view. To remedy this, we propose a framework to guide user attention by dynamically adjusting environment lighting based on an input text script and 3D scene. Validated via user study, our system improves users’ recall of virtual environments.

Abstract

In immersive VR environments, users often miss events occurring outside their field of view. To remedy this, we propose a framework to guide user attention by dynamically adjusting environment lighting based on an input text script and 3D scene. Validated via user study, our system improves users’ recall of virtual environments.
