Design of Miniaturized Dual-Band Four-Way Filtering Power Divider With Multiple-Mode Resonator

This paper presents a novel design for a dual-band four-way filtering power divider (FPD) that uses a quintuple-mode resonator for miniaturized and high-performance radio frequency applications. The proposed FPD integrates power division and dual-band filtering into a single compact circuit, reducing circuit area while achieving high selectivity, low insertion loss, and satisfactory port-to-port isolation. By configuring the quintuple-mode resonator, the design establishes a third-order response in the low-frequency band and a second-order response in the high-frequency band. A prototype operating at 0.77 and 1.775 GHz demonstrates effective power division, in-band isolation, and low insertion loss, with additional flexibility offered by the incorporation of tunable transmission zeros. This design highlights a practical approach to multifunctional FPDs that meet stringent performance requirements for modern wireless systems.
