Abstract

This paper presents an innovative approach to wearable Multiband dual-polarized antenna, providing crucial mechanical adaptability for wearable devices. The proposed wearable triple band antenna, with dimensions measuring 1.5λ<inf xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">0</inf>x 1.8λ<inf xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">0</inf>x 0.02λ<inf xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">0</inf> mm3uses a felt substrate with the rectangular patch, utilizing a hexagonal-shaped slot and truncated patch edges for better performance. The proposed design operates in triple bands, providing a -10dB impedance bandwidth across 6% from 2.42 GHz to 2.57 GHz, 2.78% from 5.32 GHz to 5.47 GHz, and 2.75% from 6.95 GHz to 7.1 GHz. Further, the axial ratio (AR) bandwidth ranges from 1.51% from 5.26 GHz to 5.34 GHz and 2.7% from 6.91 GHz to 7.1 GHz. The antenna achieves a maximum realized gain of 5.3 dBi, 3.2 dBi, and 10.5 dBi at frequencies of 2.5 GHz, 5.4 GHz, and 7 GHz respectively. The proposed antenna supports both linear polarization and right-handed circular polarization (RHCP) with high gain and finds potential applications in wearable communication systems like ISM and IOT devices.
