An Improved Modified Adaptive PNGV Model for Electric Vehicle Battery Performance and Charge Stability
EV battery modeling improves energy economy, performance, safety, lifespan, and environmental friendliness. Misestimating State of Charge (SoC), heat management, deterioration prediction, and dynamic load fluctuations are EV battery modeling issues. For these issues, this research provides a modified Adaptative Partnership for a New Generation of Vehicles (m-PNGV) LiFePO4 battery model. The m-APNGV model improves EV battery performance through temperature management, power loss control, and SoC stability. Simulation using MATLAB/Simulink evaluates the proposed m-APNGV equivalent circuit model for a LiFePO4 battery. Battery management efficiency and accuracy are shown by the model. The proposed m-APNGV model outperforms the Thevenin model (TM) for all battery properties in a comparison of the two LiFePO4 battery circuit models. The thermal behavior, temperature measurement accuracy, polarization resistance, power loss, open circuit voltage, and SoC stability during discharge are significantly evaluate using the proposed m-APNGV model, ensuring enhanced battery performance and reliability under dynamic operating conditions.
