Formation of an antinode of an electromagnetic field using two linear antenna arrays located orthogonally to each other
The paper considers the problem of forming an antinode of the electromagnetic field at a given point using two identical one-dimensional linear antenna arrays located orthogonally to each other and focused at one point in space. The case with antenna arrays equidistant from the focusing point is considered. It is shown that with such a configuration of antenna arrays, three areas of increased electric field strength are formed. Relationships are obtained that make it possible to determine the geometric dimensions of all areas. The possibility of applying the algorithm for compensating for the shift of the maximum amplitude of the electric field strength, previously proposed for linear antenna arrays, to the considered configuration of two mutually orthogonal antenna arrays is shown. This made it possible to combine all three areas of high electric field strength in the vicinity of the desired point. The features of forming several maxima of the amplitude of the electric field strength and the effect of compensation for the shift on the position of these maximum areas are considered. A comparison of theoretical and simulation results is performed.
