Editors' Introdcution
The winter 2024 issue of the Interdisciplinary Journal of Signage and Wayfindingexplores the role of signs within a specific moment in time, physical space, and culturalcontext. The authors provide three unique perspectives on how signs activate spacethrough human cognition. Signs can prompt the nostalgia of an historic hotel neonsign on Route 66, increase driver safety with highway dynamic signs using creativemessaging, or social solidarity through protest graphics.
