Seizing the moment: a bold vision for stroke care in England

Increasing stroke incidence in the UK, together with multi-morbidity in stroke survivors, means current stroke care models should be re-evaluated to produce better consistency and patient outcomes. Vital components of stroke care such as rehabilitation are key for preventing long-term disability, but are under-resourced and under-staffed. Targeted interventions such as prevention, technology and using community care could therefore be crucial to transforming stroke care in the England.
