Analisis Strategi Gelar Operasi Kapal Selam guna Menimbulkan Detterence Effect Bagi Negara Kawasan dalam Rangka Mendukung Tugas TNI Angkatan Laut

This research is motivated by the vast territory of Indonesia, most of which is water and directly borders several countries that could potentially threaten sovereignty, especially the border between the North Natuna Sea and the South China Sea, which is currently a serious problem. The formulation of the problem in this research is to determine the right submarine operation strategy to create a deterrence effect for countries in the region. This research is a qualitative research. This research was conducted by conducting interviews and questionnaires with related experts. This research uses SWOT analysis. The results of this study produced several selected strategies, namely the addition of submarine units with more sophisticated technology to create a deterrence effect, the existence of permanent submarine operations that are integrated with other agencies in the scope of the TNI Headquarters, Improving the welfare of submarine personnel, Aju Bases and submarine hangars that meet standards to support the submarine operation strategy in the North Natuna Sea. This research is useful especially for the leadership of the TNI AL in improving and determining the submarine operation strategy. Keywords: Submarine, Deterrence effect, SWOT
