Residual effect of local resources améliorant formulation on surface charge change of Inceptisol in the second growing season

Abstract Soil surface charge is a crucial site for nutrient retention and availability. This study assesses the residual effect (second growing season) of formulation ameliorant of local-based resources(FALR) on the Inceptisols’s surface charge change. The FALR’s application in the first growing season on Inceptisol planted with green beans previously with a monoculture system(MS), consisting of eight treatments and three blocks aligned in a randomized complete block design (RCBD), namely: [MS-A]=no-treatment; [MS-B]= tithonia green fertilizer(TGF)+ biochar bamboo (BB)+ compost Agam(CA)+ chicken manure(CM); [MS-C]=TGF+BB+CM; [MS-D]=TGF+BB+CA; [MS-E]=BB+CA+CM; [MS-F]=TGF+CA+CM; [MS-G]=Conventional farming (CF) and [MS-H]=Recommendations of Agriculture Ministry (RAM). The residual effect of FALR in the second growing season was significant on surface charge changes in Inceptisol (pH (pH H 2 O and pH KCl), EC (Electrical Conductivity), OMC(Organic Matter Composition), and CEC (Cation Exchange Capacity). Where TGF+BB+CM has a better impact on increasing the pH H 2 O by 10.89%, pH KCl by 6.78%, EC by 64.47%, OMC by 16.57%, and CEC by 6.29% than the no-treatment (4.96; 4.87; 0.197dS/m; 29.53%; 48.47cmol(+)kg −1 ).
